All our buttons are up and we hope the people of Swansea will be wondering what the pink buttons are all about! We were very fortunate to have a table within the Quadrant Shopping Centre last week and some of the people we talked to had noticed the few buttons we had put up on the 18th July. Now we hope many more will be intrigued by the buttons that will lead to all our exhibition venues and out Street Art Tableaux.
The middle weekend of the 13th and 14th of August will be very busy with our Makers Market and the Little Shop of Skills.
The Makers Market will be in a marquee in front of the National Waterfront Museum, alongside this we will have two demonstration tents. One will house Tawe Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers who are based in the Cross in Pontardawe and Heartfelt 2 Inspire from Neath who will be demonstrating Needle Felting and both will have lovely goods for sale.
Within the Marquee we will have 13 Makers all with a range of beautiful items. There will be a focus on felt in this Festival with quality goods from felt makers including Pat Johnson, Mandy Nash, Claire Cawte, Ali Scott and Sarah Fisher. We have other textile artists including Cynth Weyman, Sasha Kingston, Holly Hart and Catrin Saywell bringing their work along with woven goods from Alice and textile goodies from Rachael and beautiful knitting products from the duo Smith and Jones. It will be a totally innovative and enjoyable event, with a chance for us to buy unique gifts for now and perhaps Christmas..
