Archaeology Fun Day
On Saturday 21 July, Oystermouth Castle will be celebrating Year of the Sea. Learn about seafaring archaeology, local shipwrecks and Swansea’s seafaring connections with Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust, discover some local finds with Heritage Metal Detecting Club Swansea, take a guided tour of the Castle and identify your mystery objects with an archaeological expert!
Round off your July 2018 with an interactive educational show at Plantasia, with Into the Wild: Animal Encounters. From 31 July until 2 August, you can come face to face with some friendly animals including meerkats, armadillos, skunks, kinkajous, foxes and a kookaburra!
BP Big Screens 2018: Don Giovanni
BP Big Screens’ 2018 season concludes this Thursday 12 July with Don Giovanni, live from the Royal Opera House on the Big Screen, Castle Square completely free!

Clean Air Roadshow supported by Swansea BID
On Saturday 28 July, be sure to visit Castle Square as it hosts the second annual Clean Air Roadshow. From 10am – 4pm there will be a whole host of sustainable activities going on – including science exhibits, sports activities and electric cars. You’ll even have the chance to whizz up your own healthy fruit smoothie and be sure to keep an eye out for a very special guest…
The White Lady Festival
No matter if it’s food, music or games that you’re interested in, the White Lady Festival has it all! From 27 – 29 July, you’re in for a treat, as the grounds of Oystermouth Castle will be transformed into a family funground including musical performances, and ‘It’s a knockout!’ competition.
Love Parks Week with ParkLives
There’s little better than making the most of the sunshine in the park, and from 13 – 20 July there’ll be even more reasons than normal to love your park! ParkLives will be offering free activities, including Parkour, Mountain Boarding and Circuits; keep an eye out for some unusual characters popping up in your park ready for World Emoji Day on 17 July.
Dungeons and Dragons Day
On Saturday 28 July, Oystermouth Castle will be turning back time for a fun filled day of storytelling, puppetry and dragon processions. Be sure not to miss the dragon parade – and throughout the day you’ll even get the chance to meet some friendly baby dragons!
