The Dylan Thomas Centre has a permanent exhibition on the life and work of Dylan Thomas. It is also home to the Ty Llen literature programme which puts on many literary events throughout the year.
Ice Skating in Swansea
Fancy going ice skating at Swansea’s own Waterfront Winterland? With two ice rinks, there’s plenty of space to have fun. The children’s rink is especially for younger skaters while the Admiral Rink is for all ages and abilities – take your pick and skate on!

Outdoor Theatre at Oystermouth Castle
The scenic grounds of Oystermouth Castle will play host to some spectacular Outdoor Theatre events again this summer. Outdoor Theatre returns on Thursday 13 August with an afternoon performance of Quantum Theatre’s ‘The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny’. Shakespeare classic ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ will be brought to life by Quantum Theatre on both Thursday 13 and Friday 14 August. Children’s theatre continues on Friday 14 August with The Performance Factory’s heartwarming production of E.B. White’s classic novel and film, ‘Charlotte’s Web’.
