An exhibition of drawings and paintings inspired by The Year of the Sea and, a celebration of the beautiful Welsh coastline and other subjects. The artwork represents a rich variety of work by a group of talented artists led by professional artist and tutor Zoe James-Williams in The Arts Wing, Swansea Grand Theatre, Nov 12-30th.
There will be a wide range of subjects from local landscape to figurative art in a variety of mixed media. It will show off the group’s exciting and eclectic mix of tastes. The affordable artwork will make a unique and individual gift for Christmas, whether it be a reminder of home or evoking a special memory.
The mystery and majestic beauty of Wales have inspired the art group to capture through their artwork, “A magical landscape harbouring jagged peaks, theatrical sited castles, lush valleys and an epic coastline.” Rough Guides.
Author and arts journalist Mark Rees will be officially opening the exhibition in conjunction with The Year Of The Sea and we will be supporting The Mumbles Lifeboat on the night with a raffle.
