Location: Swansea Grand Theatre
Local photographers, Anthony Dyke and Paul Davies, present their own interpretation of the Swansea and Gower landscape from two different points of view. Anthony takes the more traditional approach to the landscape, concentrating on the power of light to transform the familiar. Much of his work relies on rare or fleeting moments, briefly revealing a mood or personality that is hidden when conditions are more benign. Paul has an eye for the non-traditional landscape, looking for textures, shadows, colour and geometric form. The seemingly mundane are transformed into highly personal and enigmatic images open to interpretation. Whatever your taste, the exhibition is a fascinating example of how the camera can interperate the the local area so differently, guaranteed to cause the viewer to see it in a new perspective.
