Location: Knab Rock
The Queen’s Baton Relay was launched from Buckingham Palace on 13th March this year travelling over 230,000km across the Commonwealth before reaching the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games on 4th April 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia.
The journey throughout Wales will take place from 5 to 8 September and Swansea will feature in this great event on the Tuesday 5 September.
Setting off from Swansea’s Knab Rock at around 7.30am, organisers are calling for the people of Swansea to be part of and celebrate the event by lining the route and providing a welcoming atmosphere to a Baton Bearer as they arrive.
The relay will be made up of approximately 11 legs and will be transported via various modes of transport to arrive at the National Waterfront Museum at approximately 10.30am.
Check out the interactive course map below. Click on each checkpoint to find out where the handover is taking place, and click on each leg to find out more about the baton bearers.
