Get ready to fight cancer as the Cancer Research UK Race for Life returns to Swansea!
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer. Thousands of people uniting with one purpose. To come together. To raise money. To beat cancer.
These are no ordinary events. People of all ages, abilities and backgrounds take part. There’s absolutely no pressure to finish in a certain time. A Race for Life is about uniting in the fight against cancer – no matter what your pace.
The Race for Life Swansea route takes you out along Oystermouth road, onto the scenic waterfront pathways and around the marina. A lovely fairly flat route! The start line is on the green in front of Swansea Museum, please arrive 1 hour before the start time. And don’t forget to bring your friends and family along to support you – they can stroll around the stalls we’ll have providing entertainment and refreshments, while waiting to cheer you through the finish!
Cancer Research wants to encourage everyone to help fight the cause. Your support, through events like Race for Life, is what helps us continue our ground-breaking work to see more people surviving cancer. Are you taking part because you, or a loved one, have been touched by cancer? If so, please join us and help to raise money for life saving research. Every penny helps us beat cancer, but the more you raise the more we can do!
