Get your dancing shoes on and join us for a music festival in a night in aid of secondary breast cancer charity Secondary1st. Secondary1st help fund research into the prevention, diagnosis and causes of secondary (metastatic) breast cancer and the development of more effective treatments. Approximately 11,500 people in the UK lose their lives to secondary breast cancer each year, so more funding for research to better understand and then treat this disease is essential.
Headliners The Cuban Brothers’ unrivalled funk soul review, blends sexy, soulful music with jaw-dropping b-boy action and riotous comedy. From humble beginnings The Cuban Brothers have grown into a legendary outfit that continuously sells out shows across the globe.
They’ll be joined by a multi-award winning British vocal group The Sons of Pitches combine soaring solos with impeccable harmonies and amazing beatboxing, they were the 2015 winners of BBC2’s The Naked Choir hosted by Gareth Malone.
The third act in our line-up are local band The Mudskippers. These boys will take you on a rip-snorting journey through the musical genre pool from space-rock, indie-kid and psychedelia, through to traditional skiffle, country blues, reggae, bluegrass to hip-hop. Nothing is safe. All tunes getting the `Skipper-Skiffle treatment of a full stripdown, new bearings, a few sticking plasters and a fresh squirt of grease.
Finally rounding things up and gluing things together is DJ Jared. Creator of The Vinyl High Club, Jared has been playing funk, soul, disco and house records for 25 years. He was resident at Swansea’s famous Monkey Bar, is strictly vinyl only and is king of the car boot sale.
Get your boogie on at the Brangwyn, it’s going to be a night to remember, all in aid of Secondary1st.
