The Glynn Vivian Art Gallery has been nominated for a Heritage Angel Award Wales in the category Best Major Regeneration of a Historic Building or Place (for projects in excess of £5m).
The redevelopment of Glynn Vivian ensured the future of both the Grade II* listed building and the growing art collection which includes RGV’s original bequest. The 100 year old building required redevelopment to improve access, offering an opportunity to ensure sustainability and viability while delivering state of the art conservation studios, picture stores, learning studios and new exhibition spaces that are fully accessible to the public, ensuring that the bequest and art collection are conserved for future generations to enjoy.
