CRITTER smoothies and cockroach challenges will be among the fun at Swansea’s Plantasia to mark the return of a smash hit ITV programme.
A host of new celebrities will be put through their paces in the Australian jungle when a new series of ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’ returns to our screens on Sunday.
So to mark its return, Swansea’s very own rainforest attraction, Plantasia in Parc Tawe, is giving visitors the chance to experience some of the trials and tribulations the celebrities will face.
Bush tucker feasts, cockroach challenges, feely hell holes and rainforest critter smoothies are all being made available.
The fun is taking place at Plantasia from 11am to 1pm on Saturday November 12, Sunday November 13, Saturday November 19, Sunday November 20, Saturday November 26, Sunday November 27, Saturday December 3 and Sunday December 4.
Bookings in advance aren’t required, but normal Plantasia admission charges will apply.
Cllr Robert Francis-Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “The ‘I’m a Celebrity’ programme is extremely popular, giving millions of TV viewers to chance to see how well celebrities cope with life in the Australian jungle without 21st century luxuries.
“But many thousands of miles away, here in Swansea, we’ve got our very own indoor rainforest attraction at Plantasia in Parc Tawe, which is why our staff there are busy arranging a series of safe, fun activities to coincide with the programme’s return.
“These should be hugely enjoyable activities for children in particular, while also educating them about the wildlife and ecosystem of rainforests.”
Anyone who completes all four challenges is in with a chance to win a keeper experience, giving the opportunity to get up close with Plantasia’s animals, join in with food preparation and feeding, and learn what it takes to become an expert keeper.
