Well, we don’t know about anyone else but all of us over here in Swansea Bay have definitely got our shades on this Easter. Whilst you may all be out and about making the most of the beautiful weather, are you really making the most of what Swansea Bay has to offer?
Get some blood pumping
Now is the time to burn off some of those chocolate bunnies and work those legs, whilst soaking up the sun at Singleton Boating Lake. Climb aboard a pedalo and let the youngsters do the work whilst you sit back and relax. Or if you’re looking to get in some Eggs-ercise yourself why not pit your fitness against the Swansea Bay Rider in its journey from Blackpill Lido to Southend Gardens. Once you have reached your destination, hop aboard the land train for a lift back (we won’t tell).
Or relax a little
If you prefer to take the holidays at your own pace, pop in to the Dylan Thomas Centre for ‘Here in this Spring’ self-led activities available every day until Sunday. We also have organised family workshops for those who love to get their minds working and embrace their creativity – Puppets and Plays (17 April) and Stationery and Letters (21 April). No need to book, just drop-in at 12pm for the workshops, or anytime from 10am-4pm for the self-led activities.
Animal Zone: Beast Creator
Last week at Plantasia saw some of their busiest days with Animal Encounters, but if you missed out, on chilling with some of the coolest creatures in town, don’t panic! Animal Zone: Beast Creator still has a few spaces left, running from 18-20 April, with the chance to meet millipedes, snakes, iguanas and lots more. No matter what the weather on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, this event is something the whole family can enjoy – but book your space now to avoid disappointment.
NEW EVENT: Clean Air Roadshow
This Earth Day (22 April) the City and County of Swansea are proud to host a brand new and unique event, in our very own Castle Square. The Clean Air Roadshow will celebrate the importance of cars in building the British culture to what we all know and love today, whilst looking to the future of motoring with electric and low carbon vehicles. This FREE event, suitable for the whole family, will bring plenty of cars, activities, information stands and a VERY special guest that we’re sure the kids will love… For more information click here.
We hope you’re having an Egg-cellent Easter in Swansea Bay; the perfect place to enjoy some quality time and have lots of fun this school holiday.

Ps. The Brangwyn Hall are hosting the Gin Festival 28-30 April… it’s almost time for the grown-ups to have some April fun too!
