Nina Nesbitt is set to join Jess Glynne at Singleton Park
Orchard Live has announced that Scottish indie-pop Nina Nesbitt will be special guest to Jess Glynne at of Singleton Park, Swansea on Sunday 28 July 2019. Tickets are on sale and available from Ticketmaster.co.uk and locally through Derrick’s Records.
Starting out as an independent artist, her smart, straight-talking lyrics and catchy pop hooks earned Nina Nesbitt a top 20 album when she broke through into the public consciousness in 2013 with Peroxide after catching the attention of Island Records. She then focused on writing for acts such as Jessie Ware, The Shires, Sigala, Jonas Blue and more.

Nina’s comeback album The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change has been a total transformation in sound and image, marking the arrival of an artist that has truly found herself. An independent artist once more, Nina has made an album that blends pop and RnB into a magnetic sound, which has seen her amass over 100million streams and gain playlist status on BBC Radio 1 and 2. Nina has been heavily supported by Spotify and Apple who have given her major billboards in New York’s Times Square, LA and London.
Jess Glynne has also been busy since the Singleton Park announcement, producing an empowering performance at the 2019 BRIT Awards that was universally loved and re-released Thursday with H.E.R
Jess’ debut album I Cry When I Laugh is one of the defining British pop records of its era holding its place in the charts for 138 weeks and counting. It debuted at number 1, spawning 12million worldwide singles sales, 39 weeks on the UK top 10, 2.5billion Spotify streams, a sold out UK arena tour, and Brit, MTV,EMA, Ivor Novello, MOBO, Q and Glamour award nominations.
Since then, she has released her chart-topping second studio album, Always In Between which went straight into the number one spot. Her run of hit singles continued with I’ll Be There, a seventh top spot that secured Glynne the record for most number one singles by a British female solo artist, then All I Am and Thursday.
The show is being promoted by current and three times winner of the Live UK Regional Promoter of the year Orchard Live. Pablo Janczur, director of Orchard Live said: “Nina Nesbitt has transformed her style and sound since releasing her debut album 6 years ago. Her latest album The Sun Will Come up, The Seasons Will Change has been getting heaps of critical praise and rightfully so. She is a perfect addition to the Jess Glynne line up!”
The support announcement comes hot off the announcement that Pete Tong and The Heritage Orchestra will be bringing their Ibiza Classics show, conducted by Jules Buckley to the venue the previous night (Sat 27 July). Jess Glynne will follow in the footsteps of Olly Murs, Noel Gallagher and Paolo Nutini who have all played the venue in previous years.
