Do you, or someone you know, have a learning, physical or intellectual disability?
Get involved in Swansea Special Festival 2019!
Whether you are a competing athlete, or are looking for a fun and relaxed way to get involved in sport, we have a range of different race and competition categories, making Swansea Special Festival suitable for all.
09 July – Swimming competition, Wales National Pool
10 July – Athletics competition, Swansea University International Sports Village
There are also plenty of opportunities to socialise both on and off the running track, with a variety of entertainment in the evenings of 8, 9 and 10 July, including 10-pin bowling, a live music act and a karaoke evening!
As this event is inclusive for people with physical, learning and intellectual disabilities, we categorise races into ability levels, meaning everyone has a fair chance of winning a medal. We accept entries from both adults and children, and we take great pride in ensuring there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at all events and activities.
All competition participants will receive a printed certificate, and there will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in every event.
To get involved, simply contact the team at special.events@swansea.gov.uk or call 01792 635428 for an application pack!
