Gruffydd Wyn, who hails from Amlwch in Anglesey, will be singing at the musical celebration when it returns to Singleton Park on Saturday 14 September.
The competition didn’t start out well for Gruffydd, at his first audition he was planning to sing Josh Groban’s ‘Un Giorno Per Noi’, but Simon Cowell stopped him and asked him to sing something else. Luckily, he had Puccini’s aria ‘Nessun Dorma’ prepared as well, which saw success for Paul Potts in 2007.
During the series, Gruffydd received widespread acclaim for his big voice and professional performances under pressure, sailing through to the final 10 in the popular TV talent show with his rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s Nelle Tue Mani from the film, Gladiator.
You can enjoy Gruffydd Wyn’s ‘voice of iron’ at the BBC Proms in the Park in Swansea’s Singleton Park on Saturday 14 September, between 6pm and 7pm. Tickets are available to buy online now.Book Tickets Now
