School’s out for the summer, but don’t panic, there are plenty of fun activities taking place across Swansea to keep your little (and not so little!) ones entertained. From films on our outdoor big screen and craft workshops, to festivals and sports, we guarantee you’ll find plenty to keep whole family occupied.
Family fun
There are loads of great activities for the whole family this summer, from great workshops to amazing days out. Become an archaeologist or meet some dragons at Oystermouth Castle, get up close to the animals at Plantasia, or dive into the magical world of Roald Dahl at the Dylan Thomas Centre. All this and much more!
Keep Active!
All of our Active Swansea Leisure centres have a fun-packed events programme these summer holidays. From swimming to roller skating, there’s something for everyone. Start planning your sports fun and take a look at the timetables.
Swansea Prom
Enjoy a great day out along Swansea Prom! With its range of attractions coupled with the spectacular 5 mile stretch of Swansea Bay, it’s a great destination for visitors and residents of all ages.
Come and enjoy the swan and dragon pedalos in Singleton Boating Lake, a round of FootGolf, or let the kids play at Blackpill Lido and Southend Gardens, all connected by the Swansea Bay Rider land train.
Culture, Sport and Music
It’s not just a great summer for the kids, there are great events for everyone in Swansea this summer. Culture vulture? Then take in Shakespeare at the Dylan Thomas Centre, Outdoor Theatre at Oystermouth Castle or check out the Festival of Stitch throughout the City. Need to get your sporting fill? The Team GB FanZone returns to Castle Square for the Rio 2016 Olympics, the Beach Rugby Tournament is back and you can’t forget the annual favourite RNLI Mumbles Raft race.
Cultural Activities Sport Music
Still got some room left? Then you can always fill up at the BIG Swansea Food & Drink festival, and the 10th annual Swansea Beer and Cider festival!
