Got plans for May Bank Holiday weekend? May the fourth be with you for this year’s spectacular Swansea Pride, which will be hosted on Saturday 4 May.
The day promises to be a real highlight of the Swansea calendar, as the friendliest South Wales city celebrates its 50th anniversary as a city. This year’s celebration has something for everyone, with a lead up of pop-up events in the run up to the big day itself.
Swansea Pride Parade | City Centre
From 11am
A vibrant and colourful parade will hit the streets of Swansea from 11am, with a city centre (route details to follow).
Everyone is welcome to participate! Show your Pride in this year’s Swansea Pride Parade by joining LGBT+ supporters as they dance, walk and parade through the centre of Swansea.
If you have a group of friends or colleagues, or are a group / organisation that would like to appear in the Parade, please register at swanseapride.co.uk to find out more and book your place!
Swansea Pride Celebrations | National Waterfront Museum & Museum Park
From 12pm
The Pride celebrations will continue at the National Waterfront Museum from 12pm, with a variety of stalls, activities for all ages including games, glitter and face painting, pop up entertainment and live acts / entertainment across two stages to keep the celebrations and fun flowing!

-Guests and performances from Swansea Pride Hits the Dancefloor
-Samba Band
-Guest Speakers
-Fabulous Drag Queens
-West End Singers
-Tribute Acts
-The Wow Dolls
-True Colours Choir
-The Gay Men’s Chorus
And the crowning of a Swansea Pride 2019 King and Queen!
Swansea Street Food Festival will also be returning to Museum Park for the weekend (12 noon-10pm Saturday 4 – Monday 6) – expect all the smells, tastes and fun of last year, but bigger and better!

Swansea Pride 2019
This year’s event promises to be a more inclusive and diverse event than ever before, and your support and involvement as an individual, a family or business would be very welcomed. As an overview, Swansea Pride is a growing celebration for our city and could be so positive for the city, for businesses, for tourism, bringing people into Swansea and it really is a Pride for ALL residents and visitors.
We are inviting you a join this year’s rainbow movement, to show your support, and to engage with our community in supporting any existing staff, friends, family or colleagues of the LGBT+ Community and support Equality and Diversity in our city.
There are a number of ways to get involved:
– You are of course very welcome to attend the main day event
– Enjoy the entertainment on the National Waterfront Green (the main site for the celebration)
-Attend a Pride themed event surrounding the celebration between 30 April and 5 May (there are various events all over the city centre during Pride week)
-Let your boldness and creativity run wild for you and your staff by taking part in the Pride Parade as it takes a city centre route
-Feel free to register for a stall on the Swansea Pride site (National Waterfront Museum) on Saturday 4 May by contacting swanseapride@gmail.com or info@swanseapride.co.uk
