This week you don’t need to travel to Rio to experience some of the Olympic atmosphere because families can find out what it’s like to hang out in a tropical rainforest right on their doorsteps at Plantasia.
Things to do at Plantasia range from a live learning experience at The Rainforest Hut – where you can discover secrets about how indigenous tribespeople live – to taking in the many different plants and fruits on The Hothouse Trail.
Cllr Robert Francis Davies, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Enterprise, Development and Regeneration, said: “Plantasia is a popular destination for families throughout the year and even more so in the summer holidays.
“Where else could you experience the climate that the athletes in Brazil have been training in right in the middle of our city centre?
“There is so much to see and do. The whole family can enjoy the unique Plantasia experience which is both educational and lots of fun.”
This summer families will also get the opportunity to get up close and personal with some exciting and exotic creatures at interactive Animal Zone shows. These shows are being held from August 16 to August 18, with four shows a day from 10.30am onwards.
Tickets are £4.50 for children and £5.50 for adults
