November 11th is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. On this day people across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave Service men and women.
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918, the First World War ended.
Silence is the Square remembers those who have given their lives for peace and freedom.
The Event in Castle Square begins at approx 10.30; with the service at 10.50 including a 2 minute silence at 11am. Entertainment begins at 10.30 and includes Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr, Dancerama and Solos from Keely Morgan ,Thomas Bytheway and Callum Rhys Williams, and will continue until 11.30am after the silence.
