Ashleigh Road’s pitch and putt facility is going to be transformed into a FootGolf attraction that is due to open at the start of May.
FootGolf is a combination of golf and football, where players use a football to shoot for larger holes on the course. Swansea FootGolf will be the first links course of its kind in the UK. It’s likely to be a nine-hole facility, ranging from 75 yards to 125 yards.
Swansea FootGolf will be working in partnership with Swansea Council after presenting a successful bid to run the facility in the short term. Over the next few weeks, works will begin to get the course ready for FootGolf including changing the layout of play, making larger holes for players to aim towards etc, Golf will no longer be able to be played on the course.
