It’ll be all spice on the night…
Walkers on the 2nd Maggie’s Culture Crawl starting at Knab’s Rock on Friday 9 September at 6pm will have a delicious treat in store at the end of the walk in the Maggie’s Centre. Babita’s Spice Deli will be preparing traditional Indian street food for everyone from homemade samosa’s with a variety of dips to chicken and lamb kebabs, potato cakes and a savoury rice.
Babita Verma says; I’m delighted to be involved with Maggie’s Culture Crawl this year and am looking forward to sharing my love of spices, each with their own antioxidant health benefits, at the celebration after the walk. All of my dishes are prepared using locally sourced ingredients and the recipes originate from my Indian heritage and have been passed down through generations of my family.’
If this has wetted your appetite to taste Babita’s food then join us on the Culture Crawl and enjoy an evening of culture at local venues, such as Oystermouth Castle, Swansea Museum and Brangwyn Hall, whilst having fun with your friends and family and raising money to support your local centre. Registration is £20 and the fundraising target is £80.00. It’s easy to register online at www.maggiescentres.org/ccswansea.
Maggie’s relies on voluntary donations to develop its unique, high quality programme of support. Our aim is to make the biggest difference possible to people living with cancer and their family and friends.
